NEW VISITOR

A quick description of the site.

The main page shows either squad pictures (where I have them), animations (representing the teams) or white boxes.  Either click on the picture / box to see details for the team or select the team from the list on the left hand side of the screen.  Letting your mouse hover over the picture or box will reveal the name of the team to which it relates.

Once a team has been selected, a second screen will be shown (the 'Welcome to the LTD . . .  page').  This is the main team page with links to a number of supporting pages.  All the information on here is customisable (the headline, the news items etc).  A database is used to store all the news, match results and fixtures - this is used to show the previous match, next fixture and the current league table for the team's division.
The following pages are accessible from here:

Report:

A report, if one is available, of the latest match played
Team Results: A table of results and upcoming fixtures for the team.  Includes scorers
League Results: A table of all matches played in the team's division.  Includes any cup matches for the age group
Results Grid: A grid showing all results played in the team's division.  Where a match report is available a link will be provided
League Fixtures: A table showing all matches yet to be played in the team's division.  Includes cup matches
Web News: My chance to tell you what I'm doing
News History: All news items for the team (not just the last 5)
Newsletters: Any team newsletters.  I need a couple of images but that's all
Team Info: Specific information relating to the team.  This is customisable
Squad: Details of the squad (if there is any)
Statistics: A bit of fun - top scorers, position graph.  Unlimited potential
All the pages listed above have a standard layout common to all the teams.  So, for instance if I add a new statistic (say, match sequences) then all teams will benefit from this.  The only page that is an exception to this rule is the Team Info page.  This is team specific i.e. there is a different page for each team.  Teams not having their own page have a default one.
Currently, all changes are done by myself (in nearly all cases this involves only updates to the database not to the site itself) but I am hoping to open this up at a later date.

New LTD teams can be added relatively simply.  The only overhead to me is to add the results of matches played (and upcoming fixtures) to my own database then add the links to the first page.  Simple !

Other links available on the left hand side are LEAGUES which shows the participating teams in each of the supported team's divisions.  Maps are provided where appropriate.

Also, there is an INFORMATION page showing relevant links, a tutorial on how to understand the maps and a means of contacting me with suggestions and comments (good or bad).

NOTE: If you want to bookmark the site then bookmark the main page not any of the individual team pages.  The team pages accept parameters which may change in the future.
